I feel fortunate that my parents came to know God before I was born as this has been something that they could pass on to me. My parent's faith in God saved my life. When I was 9 months old I was diagnosed with a serious case of Meningitis, this is a condition which affects the fluid between the brain and the scull. Most cases of Meningitis have left the patient with conditions and deformities for life. My case was so severe the Doctors told my parents that I would die or if by a slim chance I didn't, I would be blind, deaf and severely brain damaged. The Doctors felt that in the circumstances the best thing would be for me to die. Because of my parent's faith in God and his healing power they would not accept this prognosis. Instead they prayed and fasted and had our church The Revival Fellowship pray for me. I was released from hospital in a week with absolutely no side affects. 
This was a testimony that I have heard my whole life and when I was 14 years old I wanted to know the God who had delivered me from death personally. I prayed to God and received his Holy Spirit and spoke in a new language. Now with this new language I am able to speak with my God every day. Having God dwell in you through his Holy Spirit is the answer to all life's trouble. If God can deliver from death he can do anything.
